From 1 July 2021, international students who have successfully completed an undergraduate or master’s degree are going to be ready to benefit from two years’ work experience within the UK upon graduation, through the new Graduate Route. Students who complete their PhD are going to be ready to stay for 3 years.
The UK Graduate Route (PSW) is likely to have a visa application fee of £700 and a full immigration health surcharge.
1️⃣ The Home Office Policy team are preparing final plans to put before Parliament.
2️⃣ April 6 deadline for final year students to be back in the UK will be pushed back to 21 June.
3️⃣ Students starting courses on/after 1 Jan 2021 will still have to be in the UK by 27 September to be eligible.
4️⃣ There will now be no restrictions on self-employment on the route, although this will be kept under review.
5️⃣ The route will have a visa fee of £700 and a full immigration health surcharge.
